EVE1 Display Modules – First Generation of the Bridgetek EVE GPU Platform
The Riverdi EVE1 series are TFT display modules with the Bridgetek FT800/FT801 graphics processor and SPI interface. As the first generation of the EVE platform (Embedded Video Engine), they enable GPU-accelerated displays without a large frame buffer in the host – available in 3.5" and 4.3" with various touch options.
EVE GPU Architecture
Bridgetek FT800/FT801 renders the display via an object list rather than a frame buffer. The host microcontroller only sends display commands – low CPU load and minimal memory requirements.
SPI Interface
Simple connection via SPI to virtually any microcontroller (STM32, AVR, PIC, ARM). Only 4 lines for image, touch and audio – no parallel bus required.
Integrated Graphics Functions
Anti-aliasing, transparency, bitmaps, gradients and scalable fonts directly in the chip. Audio PWM output for simple signal tones also integrated.
Touch Options
Available without touch, with resistive touch (RTP) or capacitive touch (PCAP). Optional metal mounting frame for panel installation.
Compact & Proven
Sizes 3.5" (320×240) and 4.3" (480×272), TN panel, operating temperature −20 °C to +70 °C, supply voltage 3.3 V.
Recommendation for New Designs
Riverdi recommends the EVE4 series (Bridgetek BT817Q) for new designs: IPS panel with full viewing angle, higher brightness and QSPI. EVE1 displays remain available and deliverable for existing projects.
